Ling Sin Fai Lam joins Viritech as a Non-Executive Director

Viritech is delighted to announce that Ling Sin Fai Lam has become a Non-Executive Director (NED) of the company from 8th February 2024.

Ling, a Chemical Engineer by background, has over 20-years of experience in equity capital markets and investment management. Since 2017 Ling has focussed on writing authoritative research focussed towards Impact Investors, most recently as Director of Sustainability and ESG at Shore Capital Markets. Ling was also previously an Advisory Board Member at the All-Party Parliamentary Group on ESG.

In January, Ling took the step into entrepreneurship by co-founding WesterHayes Impact Advisory www.westerhayes.co.uk which provides customised solutions to help businesses, regions, and communities optimise local resources, with the mission of facilitating collaboration towards sustainable regional economic growth.

Ling now joins Viritech in her first corporate NED role, where she will guide the company’s ESG strategy and as well as providing introductions to her extensive network across the global hydrogen community, about which she written and published extensive and authoritative research.

Timothy Lyons, Founder of Viritech, said:

We are delighted to announce that Ling has joined Viritech as a NED. Ling brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts across the equity capital markets which will help Viritech to grow its access to Impact Investors. She also adds the authority of being a recognised expert in the critically important field of ESG, adherence to which is now vital to every company’s credibility.

Having known Ling for some time as a result of her knowledgeable publications on the hydrogen sector, I have been keen to recruit her to our Board, and the launch of WesterHayes, Ling’s new Impact Advisory consultancy, finally opened to door to this opportunity, and I am very much looking forward to working closely with Ling in the future.

Ling Sin Fai Lam said:

I am delighted to be joining Viritech as a NED. Having got to know Viritech over the last six months, I am enormously impressed by the team, their technology, and the impact the company has had in terms of accelerating the development of hydrogen powertrain technology in the past 3-years.

By establishing itself as a technology leader in the hydrogen powertrain sector, Viritech is playing a vital role in the critically important decarbonisation of transport, and I am excited to be able to contribute to delivering Viritech’s pioneering technology and exciting business plan.
