Viritech selected for prestigious “Start-Up Summit” event in Germany

  • Viritech invited by the UK Government to exhibit in Stuttgart

  • Viritech seen as an exemplar of UK cleantech

  • Viritech takes UK hydrogen fuel cell technology to heart of the German car industry

Viritech was delighted to be invited by the Department of International Trade to exhibit its technology at the major Start-Up summit organised by the State of Baden-Wuerttemburg, Germany’s leading technology region.

The event was attended by many of most important players in the fields of both automotive and technology start-ups: Bosch, Mercedes-Benz, Plug and Play, and many others.

Viritech displayed its unique integrated DC-DC Convertor. This simultaneously controls both the fuel cell and the battery pack, removing the need to have separate DC-DC convertors for the two energy sources. The Viritech DC-DC Convertor enables major savings in terms of both packaging and cost.

Viritech was also invited to make a presentation on the Innovation Stage to a highly receptive audience of industry executives. Viritech explained how its technology enables a fuel cell powertrain for commercial vehicles which has no weight penalty compared to an equivalent diesel vehicle.

Timothy Lyons, CEO of Viritech said,” We are delighted to be taking our technology to Germany, where there is considerable interest in our revolutionary powertrains. We believe we can both significantly strengthen the UK’s zero-emission vehicles sector, and fulfil our vision of Sustainable Transportation, Without Compromise.
